Hey friends,
As I wrap up the first week of this six-week-long school holidays, I can't help but feel a sense of relief. This week marked my final 1-1 nutrition session before some changes take place in my services from September onward. Don't worry, I'll fill you in on the details next month. Without the usual school routine, I finally found the time to slow down, reflect, and prioritize self-care. I even gave hair botox a shot, and I must say, it was quite an interesting experience.
Despite the gloomy and rainy weather, I took the opportunity to plan my summer holidays, and surprisingly, I'm genuinely looking forward to it.
♥️ Let me share some highlights from this week
I stumbled upon these books while tidying up my office, and I'm glad I did. Each day, it offers a quote from one of the stoic philosophers, followed by an explanation. The accompanying journal provides a prompt related to the quote, allowing you to reflect and jot down your thoughts in just nine lines. This week's theme was about keeping the news in check and staying focused on our purpose and duties in the present. Surprisingly, engaging with this book brought inner peace and kept me pondering throughout the day. I'm genuinely looking forward to my next "meditation" session.
📺 "Hijack" with Idris Elba on Apple TV
I can't rave enough about this series! Every episode, released on Wednesdays, leaves us hanging on unexpected cliffhangers. It's hard to believe that next week is already the series finale. Trust me, if you haven't watched it yet, I highly recommend giving it a go!
🗑️ Embarking on a Minimalism Journey
I've always been mindful of not accumulating unnecessary stuff, but lately, I've taken a keen interest in minimalism, inspired by Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus, known as "The Minimalists". While I haven't watched their Netflix movie or read their New York Times bestseller, I've been following their YouTube channel, and it's been enlightening. One particular episode on their five favorite minimalist rules really resonated with me, and I thought it might be helpful for you too.
Wishing you all a fantastic weekend, and I'll catch up with you next week.
